Born from the ancient Silk Road. Made for Atlantic City.
Founded by Abdullah Panah — a Jersey Shore native, Stockton University graduate, and physician — Setaara is the culmination of a decade-long vision to bring something extraordinary to Atlantic City. Having traveled to dozens of countries, Abdullah always returned to one truth: this city deserved something different.
Alongside his aunt, Executive Chef Homa Bazyar, who immigrated from Afghanistan in the 1970s, trained under a French chef in Denver, and ran her acclaimed Café Monet for decades, they created the world's first Afghan-French fusion restaurant.
The interior transports guests to the golden age of Afghanistan — the 1920s–1970s — through handmade wooden doors, Byzantine alcoves, Moroccan lighting, and original artwork by local Atlantic City artists. Every detail is intentional. Every dish, a story.
Setaara is Atlantic City's first Afghan restaurant and its only French restaurant.
